Yes it will return to normal. It will pass and things will continue to move forward. It might take 3-6 months to get back where we were but it will happen. Biggest thing is not to panic. Keep spending and supporting the businesses you have always supported. Keep your head up, it will be ok in the long term.

This warning about worldwide airline bankruptcies just turned up in my news feed.
If this does come to pass, Delta will one of the airlines to fall into bankruptcy in view of it's massive exposure to the effects of the coronavirus in terms of it's international network of routes.
Any return to "normalcy" after the virus recedes will thus be a return something other than what we have recently known.

The talk inside the Industry today is mostly about American, they're in pretty rough shape already.

Atlanta's economy is about to get hit very hard since Delta is a big employer and part of the economy as well the airport itself.

The whole country is going to get hit hard. There wont be an acre of land unhampered by it. Traveling industries will definitely see first hand effects but retail, restaurants, real estate, tourism, to a decree even industry, oil is already down, higher end jobs may begin laying off to keep budgets in check as capital and profits reduce. Its going to be very messy...

Maybe Delta can put some large cash reserves together instead of sucking every dime out of the company via $1.6B in profit sharing. My how times have changed since that January announcement. Kudos for not charging their $200 fare change fee...why they think that is appropriate in good times is a head scratcher.

Georgia-Pacific might pick up a little slack since it produces a lot of toilet paper.

Does anyone know if any domestic flights have been quarantined?

I have a friend that flew in to Atlanta from Pheonix and I haven't heard from them since they flew out on Sunday and alittle concerned about them.
