Do we contribute? Absolutely, but to think its just a bunch of black folks make you sound quite elitist and stupid. You must either be 50 plus and out of touch or just a snobby person in general. White is right is your motto I suppose.
As a black dude who does not LUST for sneakers. I just think that whole shoe worship is dumb as fuqq dude. Its been dumb since the 1980s when that garbage started when kids were getting KILLED for shoes and MJ had NOTHING to say. Fuqq those NBA negros man. You stupid for sucking up to them cats, they dont give a rat azz about you dog. Real talk.

I'm just tired of Republicans getting blamed for everything. The fact that one of them pulls a gun on people waiting to buy sneakers doesn't mean they are all that way.

Arjay, everyone knows George Bush made 'em do it! He's also responsible for all the rain this weekend.

In the case of the shoes, however, 99 times out of a hundred they're being bought for more money simply because the customer thinks they are cool and they will impress his/her peers who also think they are cool.

99 times out of a hundred you will be wrong. A great majority of these people are resellers or collectors, these shoes appreciate immediately. They are limited edition, not your average prokeds. I think waiting in line is nuts, unless you are doing for business reasons. Certainly some of the people are doing it for the "it' factor, but I would venture the majority are collectors or resellers. These shoes are going for 350-450 on Ebay.

As I said earlier, if this had been a line of non black folks standing outside of best buy waiting to buy an iphone this would've been a non story.
