An often forgotten part of town; I suspect many that live here aren't even aware of this area. I've been to parties in houses in these neighborhoods that sit on bluffs overlooking the Chattahoochee. Who knew? North Harbor and Huntcliff come to mind. The views are breathtaking.

Yes! I love the Morgan Falls Overlook. You'd think you were much farther north.

Mount Paran/Chastain Park, I suppose. Part of the reason I used to be in love with Atlanta.

I'm surprised this wasn't brought up earlier. A wonderful neighborhood.

It seems like everything north of the Perimeter gets lumped together, but that area is a far cry from stereotypical suburbia.

Nairobi - I take by your "location" that you reside in Houston. Is that right? If so, I am curious how you would know about the various differences in Atlanta's suburbs. But, yes, 10 feet tall is correct in his observation.

I'm not planted to the ground. People do move around the country.

Sandy Springs is beautiful and does have more character than many of the typical neighborhoods OTP. I do not agree that it's a far cry from suburbia, though. That's my opinion.

OTP neighborhoods- Marietta square (Whitlock Ave., Cherokee and Church Streets) Beautiful old neighborhoods around the square.

Urban area- Centennial Olympic Park.
Not so Urban area- Serenbe!! (Its hard to believe this place is so close to Atlanta! Beautiful country setting)
