Atlanta is a city that many people have a hard time identifying because they don't know what that "thing" is to make people want to come.

Saint Louis has the Arch
Seattle has the Needle
New Orleans has French Quarter
NYC has many iconic "things"

Can there be something built to be as iconic as the Arch or Space Needle???

Any ideas?

All that I can think of is to build some type of skyline tower/transmission tower with an observation deck/restaurant near the top, somewhere along the lines of Toronto's 1,815-foot-high CN Tower or Tokyo's 2,080-foot-high Skytree Tower.

I'd much rather have sidewalks in good condition everywhere.

I would not visit St. Louis solely for the Arch or Seattle solely for the Space Needle.

I don't think Atlanta particularly needs this sort of landmark anyway, at least not for any sort of identification purposes.

I think it would be kind of cool to build the worlds largest hologram. Holograms are usually projected inside of a glass enclosure so it could be like a 300 ft glass pyramid or something that could display all sorts of cool holographic things inside.

Japan is already doing it on a small scale.

I say we construct a 1000-foot statue of Galactus, devourer of worlds. Nerds the world over would flock to it with insane fanboy fervor.
