Whining? Do you contribute your time, money and sweat to helping the park?

Anyway, this isn't expertise. It's common sense. When you write a contract for a promoter to use a park, a volunteer organization shouldn't be left picking up the pieces and paying for repairs.

If that didn't happen, whoever contracts events for the park should be fired and replaced.
You would have to fire Atlanta's mayor.

Ansley would know the answer but I'd be surprised if very many of your tax dollars made it to Piedmont Park.

Very few do make it to the park. The city mows a few times a season and provides one security patrol. That's really about it. Private donations do the rest.

That doesn't sound like any way to run a park. I live in Gwinnett county now and the county does everything for the parks and indoor swim centers. I've never heard of a privately funded nonprofit stepping up, its not needed. Maybe the tax happy Atlantans should vote in a SPLOST to take care of parks like we did.

The city of Atlanta doesn't have money to go around developing or maintaining parks on the north side of town. The folks up there have plenty of money to take care of stuff like that themselves.

In other words, your concerns about the park are just a figment of your imagination.
