City data is a got damn joke, now people are on here claiming Atlanta doesn't have a nightlife lol. Mostly only white people are saying this by the way.... what it doesn't have it a concentrated bar scene. There's 900 million lounges and clubs in Atlanta though.

That's correct, there isn't a concentrated bar scene like Buckhead used to be, though VH is probably the closest.

I mean of course it has nightlife but its nothing like its used to be. Like the title says, the nightlife is spread out all over the metro, there's no cohesiveness. That's why people are dissapointed, Atlanta should have one or multiple strips of vibrant nightlife.

And I wouldn't really call Virginia Highlands a nightlife strip. The few bars and restaurants there shut down at like 10

Yep plenty of areas still EAV, Buckhead, VaHi, Edgewood, etc. the Buckhead bars on Roswell are somewhat tapering off as is Crescent Ave in Midtown, but other areas like W Midtown and Colony Square are emerging. It's not hard to find nightlife here and while there's not bourbon street concentration you still have plenty of spots with at least 5-10 places to go.

It's just kind of a hassle to have to uber from one spot to another, when you used to be able to walk to a dozen plus bars.

From the 80's to the Mid-2000's was indeed the heyday of 24 hour Atlanta nightlife. From Buckhead to Midtown, and clubs such as Backstreet with Charlie Brown's Cabaret always open and pouring, 24/7. Great times back in the day.

Well, Backstreet was gay folks, or for Buckhead folks looking for coke after the bars closed at 2:00.

That's because after the Ray Lewis Super Bowl incident a lot of the bars and clubs of Buckhead changed things up and new laws came into play. Back in the day, you could see Puff Daddy, Suge Knight, 2Pac, Black Mafia Family, Jermaine Dupri all partying in Buckhead in the same night.

Atlanta was a nightlife 'mecca.' Then the Super Bowl murders involving Ray Lewis happened.

It's pretty relevant that Atlanta doesn't have white people nightlife. That's actually not something you can handwave away. Atlanta is asleep by 9 unless you're ghetto
