A 24 hour MARTA service. Definitely the entire rail system and multiple bus routes where needed and in lively dense urban neighborhoods.

Development of all surface parking in downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, and all the new pockets of density (ex. West Midtown, O4W, etc)

Redevelopment of areas like South Downtown and Turner Field into grid style walkable modern style neighborhoods.

Getting the region to work as one instead of the current ITP vs OTP.

It would be nice if ATL to have an big grid.

My biggest dream for Atlanta is to have a much better transportation system. It needs to be reliable meaning whether bus or train, there should be shorter wait times (20 minutes for a bus/train is very long) and the trains should not stop running after 12:30. Can you imagine not having a car? You wouldn't have much of a social life on weekends. It would probably help both businesses and individuals...how many people can't work at certain hours because there is not transport to get them home?

As for the highways, adding more lanes to existing highways is not the best option. There should be better options available for people who travel from east to west. Currently, many who use the highway have to do a "U" to get to their destination, which is silly. Too many people commute from Cobb, Gwinnett, etc., to Atlanta for there not to be more commuting options. I have heard light rail being mentioned as an option.

More pedestrian-friendly. A lot of people complain about pedestrians but I can tell you this that I have seen road signals that don't work and the pedestrian never gets the 'walking' sign. I have also seen pedestrians have the right-of-way and cars almost running them over. I guess it is up to people to respect pedestrians.

Okay. That's all I have for right now.

My dream: fix the potholes, pay back the school board and other debt, put proper sidewalks on all streets, implement modern technology for all traffic signals, fund all parks throughout the city, including playgrounds, enforce the speed limit and lower taxes 2% per year.

I know it's a crazy pipe dream but can you imagine if some day they took up those steel plates on our streets?

Yes,I see these just about every other day!Hopefully, they will paved all Atlanta street so everyone can ride smooth and don't have to get their car fix just for running over one. I know plenty of people who had to get their car fix just because of this situation.
