(The Black Hat) Foolish Negroes: The Confederate Flag Is The Least of Your Problems

As I said in an earlier post, it's really unfortunate that so many people are getting worked up over things that are merely symbols of the root issue rather than the issues themselves. Dylann Roof wanted a race war -- and he's gonna get it because of misguided crap like this. How disgusting and pathetic and totally disrespectful to the 9 souls who perished in Charleston.
This call a straw man, You can't pined one issue by talking about another.

Also it's run around, if it's not a big of deal there shouldn't be an issue of it being removed.

Lastly the default is not people pointing out how something is clearly racist, it's willingness of people to defend stupid stuff like this. This means the racism always exist we post just ignore and postponed it,

From the article

Quote:
"It didn’t happen overnight, but finally, after 160 years of being showcased in front of South Carolina’s Capitol Building, the Confederate Flag was forced into retirement last week as a result of extensive pressure from the African American community and various critics."

The flag wasn't there for 160 years it was there South Carolina 54 years, Dude in article doesn't know what talking about, and using a disturbing sarcastic slave talk tone in the article doesn't help his point.
But this goes with point most people calling this stuff heritage don't know it's recent and very modern, First off what we see as the Confederate flag was never used as the CSA national flag. What we see commonly is the Navy Jack / Battle Jack flag wasn't popular before the 50's. It was flaunt by states and people in opposition to integration and the civil right movement during the time. So you have to wonder if the people so into the southern history why they using the wrong flag?

South Carolina Confederate flag wasn't put up until April 11, 1961

Georgia did this also 1956–2001

Stone Mountain was bought by the state of Georgia in 1958, The Caving was incomplete The state decided in The 1960's to finish it

The Civil Right movement, the only exception is MS, it wasn't popular across the south until the 50's-60's.

These were the National CSA flags but they're not popular now The battle flag is. States that used Jim Crow laws suddenly started flaunting a unpopular flag, The flag clearly become popular as symbol of opposition to civil war rights movement.

But media started romanticizing it, Hollywood depiction of the south they wanted to be as stereotypical as possible. Basically historically is wasn't popular in the South, Historically it became popular as symbol of opposition to the civil right movement. Than The media started romanticizing it now people think it holds more cultural significance than it actually does and many don't know why this particular became popular.

Back to Stone Mountain..

And for a cultural stand point, of uniting all southerners why would anyone want it there? You want a state run park tax dollars paying for a civic monument dedicated to men to who was change with treason to the US, who fought to keep slavery, that associated with then klan? Why not remove it and put something that can united all southerners? Why not put something that can represent Atlanta, or Georgia or The South that draw crowds and can be show case to the World? This actually can be a opportunity for The Atlanta area and Georgia.

There is literally no chance of anyone forgetting the confederacy because we stopped flying its flag.

You guys do realize that this country celebrates plenty of pre-civil war slave owners right? We would basically have to remove almost every staute in DC and Philadelphia, rename DC, put new faces on our currency and probably create a new design for the American flag to erase all memory of our slave holding past. This debate can go on for years if we want it to.

Please.

Your garden variety white christian nationalists/white supremacists will always hold the top spot for fomenting domestic terrorism in past, present, and very likely for the foreseeable future...each and everytime...without fail. And more often than not with explicit and implicit help from the state.

The white christian nationalists/white supremacists are wickedly efficient and extremely brutal without mercy...in their methods of spreading terrorism and chaos. And had hundreds of years of practice long before Islamic fundamentalism/Extremism was even a concept to consider for the average American.

And I don't even have to list the heinous events courtesy of the white skin color tribalists...because they are too insanely evil to fully appreciate and contemplate...and too numerous to count.

Despite what your American Mainstream Corporate Media-reinforced white dominance skin-color tribalistic blinders say to the contrary.

So color me disinterested in your logic. I got other fish to fry.

This confederate flag thing is really gonna screw up some civil war reenactments......instead of North vs South they're just gonna do "shirts vs skins".

Is that a reason not to get rid of the flag?

So all or nothing? So don't even bother with the flag unless we change everything?
