CONSIDER THIS:

Alabama will play Florida State in the 2017 Kickoff Classic on Sept. 2. They stand a good chance of coming back to Atlanta to play in the SEC Title Game in December, and the National Championship Game in January! It would be like a HOME GAME for them!

The downside for Atlanta might be that many Alabama fans would drive over for the game and then go back home -- like they always do.

We had a big ice storm during that Super Bowl. All things considered, we did a damn good job.

Of course as they love to do, the national sports media had a field day trashing Atlanta.

CORRECTION: We didn't just have a big ice storm during the Super Bowl. We had TWO ice storms back-to-back, one the week BEFORE that left more than 1 million people without power, and another on the Saturday BEFORE the game. According to The Weather Channel, the 2000 Atlanta Super Bowl Week Ice Storms are No, 9 on the All-Time Worst Ice Storms Ever!

Then you should root for Florida State... Tallahassee is too far for a day trip, and certainly other major Florida points are, too, so our fans will stay the night.

Dawgs need to fire Mark Richt first. UGA ain't going nowhere no time soon with him at the helm.

When Tech beats UGA again this year I fully expect CMR to be out the door. Can't wait. Not a UGA fan but I'm sick of seeing them not live up to their potential. Way too much money and HS talent in this state for them not to be on the same level as the LSU's and Bama's of the world.

I agree, to a degree. Richt has one of the very best records in football for active coaches. A large part of Georgia's issues last and this year has been tied to pinning the offense to the run. When they lost Girley last year, that hurt. Losing Chubb this year was devastating. Now, having to rely on the passing game, for which they are not equipped, is failing them miserably.

Not sure I can hold Richt accountable for all of their problems. On the other hand, the buck stops with the head coach.
