Its a great time to be an Atlanta resident. Mufflers are very handy. I'd like to see USC and Notre Dame in the game here.

That was over 10 years ago. It will be no different than having superbowl weekend there. Atlanta was much more of a party city back then. They should have it there again it will be fine

Key is making sure everything works well around these events, unlike that Super Bowl awhile back.
was the Ice Storm really that bad during the last Super Bowl?

I wasnt here so cant answer to that only what I have read and been told by others, but NFL doesnt like anything disrupting them so ATL has to get it to run right or they will never come back.

After being here in the more recent ice storm, clearly they still dont have their stuff together

It was pretty bad. To make matters worse, we'd had one the weekend before, and so the city had only just recovered when the Super Bowl activities started getting underway, only to have a second storm come through.

I was due to fly to Europe on Saturday or Sunday night of Super Bowl weekend for a business meeting. When I came into work on Thursday, my boss came to me and said, "The flights will probably all get cancelled this weekend. You need to leave today." So, home I went to pack a suit, and a few hours later I was on the plane. Never did see first-hand the effects of the storm, as it was all cleared up by the time I got home, but a good friend of mine was without electricity (or heat, or hot water) for about two weeks. Lots of pine trees in his neighborhood, and pine trees do not mix well with power lines.

Was in the city last night. Didnt really see many fans out and about. Maybe tonight they will be on the scene. Since this PeachBowl actually means something this year.
