What are Atlantas most family friendly areas? They can be neighborhoods in the city or suburbs? I'm looking for good schools, especially elementary. I like communities with diversity as well. I'm also looking for some place safe. If the area has access to Marta that would be great.

I'd say Brookhaven fits the bill.

What is your budget, are you looking to rent or buy and where will you be working.

There are family friendly places all over this metro area of 5.5+ million residents.

A family friendly area that is out of your budget or leaves you with a horrible commute won't be worth it. So let's start with the basics and go from there.

We are looking to buy for under $350k. Though that's our max we don't want to rule out areas with significantly cheaper housing that fits what we are looking for. We work from home.

Diversity, good schools and housing around 350K? Brookwood High school zone is one, Parkview another. Oconee County is less diverse, further out, but a great place to raise kids, and is worth a look (great sports, schools, premier University for the state, family-friendly festivals and concerts, less traffic, inexpensive nice restaurants, shopping, lower cost of living, etc.).

I pretty much think Suwanee is the family friendliest place on earth. It's actually sickening so.

It fits everything you are looking for, except the MARTA access. You should go check it out, if for nothing else to see how family oriented a community can be.
