I want to see that awful surface parking lot, fronting COP, gone but tearing down more historic downtown buildings is kinda

Nothing special about the buildings.

"Those variances included encroaching on the wide sidewalk area along Centennial Olympic Park Drive, having mid-block driveways for valet and loading docks and having only 21 parking spaces for bicycles instead of the required 50 bicycle parking spaces." - ABC

Each of the variances being requested to build this place is pretty horrible. Mid-block driveway, smaller sidewalk, and less bike spaces. Isn't this a slap in the face for everything they're trying to accomplish downtown?
