I came across a website for an amusement type park in Norcross and I believe the name was Malibu Grand Prix in Norcross, Ga. Anyone been there and have any opinions? Suggestions? Would be taking 16, 14 & 11 yr. old boys and a 7 yr. old girl. The boys are mainly all about go karts and video games. The girl would probably enjoy all. We enjoy Wild Adventures in Valdosta, but want to try something smaller and something different.

This is very different than an amusement park, it is much smaller. Are you in the Norcross area? It certainly isn't worth coming very far for. However, if you are nearby, and have realistic expectations, your kids would probably enjoy it. I don't think your daughter is old enough to drive the cars. They have a big arcarde, two different kinds of go-karts and putt-putt. They have bumper boats as well.

Make sure you understand the pricing before you go.

We would be coming from Macon. Is it not worth the trip? Any other suggestions other than Six Flags? Thanks for the info!

If you were coming for something else, maybe... but I wouldn't think so, do you have any go cart places near you?

I went there once. I'll never go back. Dozens of unsupervised kids, practically toddlers, running all over the place, even running through the mini-golf course while we were trying to play. The staff did nothing to try to stop the chaos.

Definitely NOT worth a drive from Macon.

If you're looking for go-carting, check out Andretti Speed Lab up in Roswell. Way nicer and plenty of video games and other games to do in-between racing. I've only been for work, so not sure how crowded it would be on a weekend or how much it cost.

Six Flags, while it is the human trash capital of metro atlanta on any given weekend, is a lot of fun if you can go on an off day. My favorite is to go on a random Wednesday or Thursday, first thing in the morning, or even Friday. It cuts down on the waits. It's so expensive anymore, though. I pretty much only go on "work" nights, when my company gets to go for free now.

Malibu has been around for a while and I've known people who worked there back in the 90's and I think it's really gone down hill since then, even. All you'll do is some racing, batting cages, etc. I would not drive 2-3 hours to go there, personally.

What about Dave and Busters? That's a huge place with a lot of video games and simulation games that the older kids would enjoy. They also have a restaurant but it's kind of expensive.
