And whose the majority there, Hispanics. Go more into 285 and whose there, Blacks.... So either diversify or keep running.....

The good news for them is that the U.S. is still ~60% white, so they have like 49 other states to choose from.

No different than people complaining and being vocally upset (mostly African Americans) that the city is becoming increasingly white by the week. Goes both ways. Can’t speak of one while ignoring the other.

I mean, there's plenty to like about the Southeast. The Appalachians are beautiful. Atlanta's a pretty swell town, with some other pretty swell towns throughout the Piedmont Atlantic. The barrier islands and tidal rivers are lovely. There's pretty delicious, if bad for you, food.

Of course there are some real, entrenched problems of generation poverty, health, crime, and various other social problems, but they don't mean all those other nice things don't exist.

I suggest you read 'The Bitter Southerner'. It's a news blog that's pretty well set on celebrating the good, and challenging the bad of the South East U.S.

Blacks move in and whites leave voluntarily because they don’t want to live with blacks. Whites move in and blacks get priced out of neighborhood and leave involuntarily or can’t afford to buy into a neighborhood any longer. Yeah, those are two completely identical circumstances.

There is nothing wrong with White people moving into the city. Just like there is nothing wrong with someone who is Black moving to Gwinnett. There is a clear resistance right now about white people moving into the city and it is no different than what was discussed in the linked article whether you want to admit it or not. Sorry.

LOL. It’s comical how aggrieved white folks get their panties in a wad over SJW’s and political correctness and then with no sense of irony at all they adopt the same language to project their grievances.

Yes, lower-income people get priced out of neighborhoods. Often those people are black but not always. White working-class neighborhoods were often in the first wave of gentrification in the large cities in the Northeast.

Minorities don't displace Whites in the suburbs, they decide to move away. When Whites move in to the city they raise property values and taxes which displaces the current residents. It has little to do with income. Institutionalized racism causes property value changes based solely on race. Why are wealthy black neighborhoods valued less than equally wealthy white ones?
