Some at my job were able to work from home in March and April but not me. I went to work like normal since the start of the pandemic.

Most of March and April had very little traffic, May traffic was starting to build a bit. Memorial Day Weekend to early August, traffic was a few notches from back to traffic clogged normal. Since school started traffic has dropped a bit, not to March and April levels but less than June and July.

My afternoon commute from work(40miles) pre pandemic was 60-70 mins. March to mid May 45-55 mins. Late May to early August 60-65mins though Fridays more than likely over 65 minutes. Now ~60 minutes.

I don't worry about traffic like I did pre pandemic, back then I had to make sure I'm out the door at a certain time or face the consequences of possible 20-30+ minutes of slow moving traffic. Even in the rain I have made good time these days(not all the time though).

I travel 100% for work. I was home from mid March to mid May but back to 100% travel. I voted that my commute did not change because technically I only commute to the airport 1x per week - it is just one BIG commute.

WFH FT since March. I used to commute five days a week to my current client. Being a first time father, it has been a blessing. I have so much more time with my family. I don't think I could do a job requiring me going in the office five days a week in the future. The time with my family is more precious than sitting in traffic and wasting my time in meetings I don't have to be in. I am able to do 100% of my work remotely.

Wow so far the overwhelming majority either are not commuting or never changed to begin with.
I don't see us being required to go back in until next year. We aren't even given the option to go in right now

Like Lorilove, I'm 100% travel.

I go to the airport 1-6 times a month, depending on what our projects on hand are and do long-hauls far away from there.

On-site, my commute is a 5 minute walk down a hallway.

With that said, my job is completely not doable until this blows over. There are too many legal/border hurdles and a CDC order against my industry.

I'm affected by this, until our society at-large has a better handle on controlling cases, no matter how much I'm told our past stupidity was to keep the economy open....

People like us are not going to be a lion-share of the changes on the road, but still it is worth noting that there are close to 100k people/day not traveling to the airport, even more if you include cut-backs on staffing.
