Today was like a high ozone hell walking outside making sales calls in Douglasville. It smelt like smoke all the way from my apartment in Smyrna down towards Fulton Industrial Blvd. I didn't really go out yesterday due to the tensions in the air already, but wow can mother nature lighten up and make it rain of us?!

Hope the forecast changes, because right now the 8 day stretch is bone dry

It will come. I predict this winter it will rain so much that you will forget what the sun looks like.

We'll see.

Models surveyed and expert opinion suggest that La Niña is approximately 50-60% likely during the last quarter of 2016, persisting into early 2017.

La Niña causes mostly the opposite effects of El Niño, above-average precipitation across the northern Midwest, the northern Rockies, Northern California, and the Pacific Northwest's southern and eastern regions. Meanwhile, precipitation in the southwestern and southeastern states is below average.

I'll try leaving my grill uncovered. That usually brings a week or so of rain.

When is the next event at Chastain? I'll buy tickets. That always results in rain.

North Gwinnett had a few light showers on Sunday morning. So refreshing and the air afterward was not smokey, but it was not nearly enough.

Grateful anyway.

We're definitely getting that rain we asked for now. This is my second Atlanta winter, and I almost forgot how much it rains this time of year.
