Worse than keeping it in the city? Sounds like the farm plans to use the cabin to honor her, which is a good thing.

Seems like a win win to me. Smyrna had it removed from the city and from Cobb and someone wanted it and took it off Smyrna's hands.

Demolishing it is a good idea. It's on par with the southern tendency to demolish rather than preserve, and it's only historic because it's old and lightweight and heavyweight racists kept it financially afloat.

To me, it makes no difference one way or another - but I would think moving it and having someone else pay for it, makes the most sense.
