YouTube - Atlanta Mystery Tower by Jason Goldtrap

Have you seen this tower? It's at 3rd St NW and Williams St NW, just north of the Varisty. It is difficult to find any current info on this building. The tower is about 100 feet tall. It was built by Taz Anderson for the 96 Olympics.

It is not the same as the torch tower across from Turner Field south of downtown.

Any help?

Welcome to Eagle Creek

I know that it was called the, "Centennial Olympic Games torch memorial tower", but that's about it. I think it was all done with private money and donations. It was pretty controversial at the time because everyone thought it was so ugly (and many still do).

Yes, sitting right next to a gay bath house called the Flex Club.
How Greco-Roman.

Someone I was sharing a ride with on the Connector pointed it out to me; she worked in the Bellsouth tower in midtown and had a clear visual to the clothing optional sundeck at Flex. She kept a pair of binoculars in the drawer, of course.
