If I know information that would be useful to someone, I'll answer it to the best of my ability. I try not to sugar-coat an answer. I try to be truthful and upfront.

In reference to the specific topic of crime in the Lenox area I feel as if most, if not all people, would like to know about any past murders committed very near the street they were considering calling home, whether it be a "random" or a "regular" crime.

Now that you know the name of the apartment complex with a history of criminal activity very close to your condo; information that seemed to be of upmost importance to you; this issue is suddenly off your radar screen.

Have you read the blog you recommended? Have you seen the racist comments? I have no doubt crimes are committed in that part of town, but recommending a blog where the author uses the n-word isn't going to get your point across to many.
To the OP, Lenox is not void of crime, but its not crazy either. I would be careful around Christmas time, I remember people getting robbed, in the mall parking lot, in broad daylight a couple years ago.

Default 22 years...

22 years in Atlanta law enforcement...

The Lennox area is in Zone 2. It has the lowest amount of violent crime, compared to all the others. However it still has it's share. By the late 90's, weekend thuggery ruined Buckhead. Freak-Nic moved north every Sat./Sun., and so did the violence. IIRC, we had four homicides one summer. All more-less over "exchanged stares" outside the hip-hop venues. That's the reason 80% of it is under the wrecking ball now...

As for Lennox Mall, MARTA did the trick there. After it opened, literally every store wanted to hire an officer or deputy for extra security. I never thought I would see Lennox without a movie theatre, but it became a security nightmare. I found it ironic that the C. Dicken's collectable bookstore, became a sports jersey and basketball sneaker shop.

It will be interesting to see, what the "new" Buckhead brings.
