Have you been to Neiman's on a Wed afternoon? the median age is probably over 60. They are all around, walking slowly past you.

I have three daughters in their twenties who love shopping Phipps and Lenox Malls when they come to Atlanta to visit (from Manhattan).
The problem with the Perimeter Bloomingdales is that it is stocked like a lower-end Macy's. The shoe department was severely lacking and they had very few upscale brands. Lenox is not much better.
VonMauer's store at NorthPoint is beautiful (especially the women's "lounge,") but I haven't seen anything I want to buy there and they do not seem to have any sales to speak of.

This is precisely what I am talking about. Even within our family we have kids recruiting proxy buyers in NYC so they can get a hold of some Uniqlo stuff. The world is too connected to fool Atlantans into buying garbage. We're not stupid.
