Can anyone tell me about the different soccer clubs in Atlanta? I have read the websites for NASA, Concorde Fire and AYSA. Are they all pretty much the same? My son is 10 and has been playing soccer for 5 years in Spain. He is used to competing /travelling and I wanted to find something comparable in Atlanta. We will be living up between Marietta and Roswell so is NASA then the best bet? Any comments, experiences, opinions on these clubs or others will be much appreciated.

Default Area Soccer

We also recently moved here and are looking for a travel club for our 10, yr old son. I've contacted a few of the clubs and recv'd quick replies from NASA, KFC and CFC. Based on where we live, we are looking at those clubs and hope to find out more during their tryouts at the beginning of June.

I found a helpful website, www.soccerincollege.com that let's you view various clubs in the state and see their complete list of select and academy teams. They actually show rankings for each age group. Not sure how accurate those rankings are, but they at least give you an idea. Also, you can find upcoming tournaments on the website. If travel baseball didn't take up so much of our weekends, I would scout out a tournament b4 tryouts and at least try to get a look at the various teams.
I've contacted the Academy coaches via email through the clubs website. They've always been accomodating and have invited us to attend training, unfortunately those all seem to be the same nights we have baseball practice.

Good luck and if you have learned anything since your post, please let me know.
