I can't believe it, just gets hotter and hotter! In the north east my parents have been saying that the "fall feeling" is in the air. Not here at all!

I wonder if that's a sign of what their winter will be like.

Technically, I think we just set the new record here within the past hour or so. Time to celebrate? You are all witness to history.

70 days of 100 degrees or more. Ten day forecast shows no break in sight, every day is 102 degrees or hotter: 10 Day Weather Forecast for Austin - weather.com

I've personally found local weather forecasts to be more accurate than national forecasts for our area. Something like KXAN 7 day (7 Day Forecasts for Austin, Texas | KXAN.com). The 109 degree predictions from the weather channel seem a bit much.

I am so friggin' tired of the heat. Personally, I really don't give a rat's ass about any records being broken.

There was thunder and wind, but no rain. I was actually hoping that a hurricane would make landfall over Central Texas.

I hate this damn oppressive, scorching heat.

Yeah, the local news said that Hutto and Taylor got rain last night. Not a drop on my end of Hutto. We sat at the pool and watched the clouds blow by over us, but nothing happened.
