Every little bit helps, unfortunately that blob was fairly small and did not linger long.

Nice streamflows at Llano River at Llano today from the rain that we had the day before yesterday. Should it take another day for it to reflect in lake Travis?

Longer than that. It has to flow from Lake LBJ, through Lake Marble Falls, into Travis. They had both of those lakes' dams open almost all day yesterday.

There is over 14,000 ac-ft headed to Travis right now (downstream from Buchanan). That is over 1% of the total volume. We should see Travis up 2' without another drop of rain.

Because the ground is saturated, and the lakes have been rising, the increase in the Llano streamflow is noticed very quickly (few hours). The lake level rose about .7 feet between 10 p.m. last night and this morning. It had been rising all day. But the water has to go through Lake LBJ and Lake Marble Falls so the there are many miles of "lake" to traverse.

BIL has land on the 'river' below Marble Falls Dam...maybe, just maybe, there is actually water flowing by!!! His ''boat ramp" has been 15 feet(or more) above the dry river bed since we moved her in '08.

Intown is getting a good scrubbing; but only light stuff over the Lakes basin. We have a house in a rain forest and it's drier than our place here has been this May

On my way home just now, the barometer dropped so much my ear popped. The wind went crazy and there was a big dark cloud overhead... got home just in time before this massive downpour. Whoa.

Go home, Texas weather! You're drunk!
