More rain why? So you can grow crops? I'll never understand why indoorsy type people are so obsessed with rain. I get it, weather doesn't matter, but why wish for rain?

Water. That’s why. Not having to use sprinklers, deal with watering restrictions, dried out fire hazard brush... the list goes on.

1) reduces the risk of fire
2) we need it for drinking
3) less irrigation of lawns/gardens required
4) less filling of swimming pools
5) keeps plants from dying
6) reduces the stringency of water restrictions
