largest group. We aren't too far behind, but per my post, it's not millenials with the highest numbers. At least given this one day of positive test results.

the numbers need to be looked at on a per capita basis for that age range.

So, millennials and their younger siblings?

Most oldfarts I know are still adhering to stay at home precautions.

Their younger siblings are "Gen Z." It might be worth checking on the Hays county numbers since they have Texas State to account for a lot more of the younger people. I'm not saying that there aren't dumb Millenials, I've been out a few times (masked) but my point was saying that 'Millenials" are the problem is incorrect. We're part of it, but not the whole problem.

They appear to be the group that is surging recently.
Remember, in the first few months of the pandemic everybody claimed it was affecting mainly us old people. Now it appears the Infection pendulum has swung the other way.

I dont think anyone ever said that. What they did say is that when old people got it they had a much higher rate of severe complications. If anything the elderly were the smallest proportion.

Yes. I know young people are ending up in the hospital, but how many young people do go out, take a precaution and get tested, get a positive and then just get flu like snd hang out at home for two weeks?

Many younger people did take solace that corona was largely a disease that was deadly to "old people" and that if contracted it was just a bad flu that would be gone in a week. What they were not considering was that younger people have been hospitalized, on ventilators, and have died. The picture of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was disturbing - people tightly packed together, drinking and carrying on with not a care in the world. That business deserved to get its licensed revoked and if it hurts them financially, tough. follow the rules. Zero tolerance for businesses that make little to no effort.
