I haven't read through all ten pages of this thread, but just in case, here are two websites that might be helpful;

https://tabexternal.dshs.texas.gov/t...romVizportal=y

This one was working two days ago but now is blank. Maybe they will fix it soon.

Yeah, I looked at those the other day, but I don't qualify yet. There are 1,000+ doses available within a 5 miles of me, though. My older neighbor who does meals-on-wheels got his shot last week. Didn't feel any effects. My nurse neighbor got her second dose a couple days ago and said she felt 'off' for a day, but that was it.

Where are those doses available? I know two people in group 1B who have been desperately trying to get the shots and every place that the website says has them is actually out.

I also don't know how Houston is successfully vaccinating group 1B now and Austin still doesn't have the vaccine to do that. Last I heard, they still hadn't even gotten through all of 1A before running out.

The map shows them on 290 S. - South Austin Medical center and Austin ENT have the bulk of them, but the Randalls and the Wellmed list a few dozen each. No idea if they actually have them or not, but it lists them. Our neighbor that does meals on wheels is 1b, I believe, and got his, although I did not ask where.

Mine was from Randalls. I'm assuming they're partnering with smaller 1A groups to vaccinate those first before going to the general public.

I'm in 1b, but the mass crush to get a vaccine is offputting. As soon as a possible location is announced, the spots are taken. HEB flatly said that it is only doing 1A and many other places are just dealing with their existing patients. Considering I'd have to deal with this twice, I'm going to wait.

I think those locations are still working through group 1A and haven't actually started vaccinating group 1B yet.

Yes, but they have started on 1b. Two of my friends have appointments this week.
