We have power, but got it back yesterday after being off for 23 hours. we are among the lucky few in my neighborhood with electricity. Water on only in interior bathrooms.

Now that I got power back on, off course the pipes burst. If it's not one thing it's another. Glad we don't deal with these types of weather frequently like up north and don't have to deal with these type of weather related issues only once in couple decades.

For those who have experienced bursting pipes, will home owners insurance cover that given it was related to unnatural weather or are they SOL?

Don't quote me but I think the pipe bursting would be SOL, but if there is water damage due to that, it would be covered.

^That. Which isn't too bad a deal - fixing the pipe is cheap, fixing water damage is not.

We had power for an hour. By that time the house hit 44 degrees and sinking.

Then boom it happened - power was out again and will stay out because no one can work in the freezing rain.

And so it’s nightmare continues. I’m so frikken over this

In reading your Allstate link, the highlighted part says "damage caused by leaking plumbing" and lists the frozen pipe. Maybe I missed it, but does it state fixing the pipe?
