Car: 94 Honda Accord EX

Problem: There is an opening that looks like it should be connected to vacuum hose or something. There is a sucking action when I put my finger over it. Then RPM goes down just a little and engine runs smoother. The top hose goes to the EGR vacuum control solenoid. The engine is similar for 94-97 models. Please help me find where this opening is supposed to connect to. Thank you.

There has to be a hose nearby. The copper nipple is not dirty, so the hose has not been missing for very long. Look the area over closely, you'll find it.

If you don't see another nipple, just cap it.

Look in the engine compartment usually on the underside of the hood for the vacuum hose diagram. That should tell you if a hose goes there.

Yes, that's it. The hose came loose when I took the fuel rail off.

Thank you everyone.
