Now as an adult, I see how expensive Supercars really are to maintain. How impractical they are, how you couldn't use the car to it's potential on the street and well, yeah.
Also Supercars seem to be more and more automated, with tons of features and electronics; which is cool and all, but I'd like a more raw experience. Which I'm sure if I ever got to drive a Lambo or whatever, that it would be an experience enough.
So yeah, I still like them, but my adulthood rationality kinda put a damper on them.
I like to see them but I would never want to own one. I would be embarrassed to be seen in a car worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. It says something about you I think that you place so much value on material possessions.
I like seeing what happens when peopel dream and money ins't the thing that compromises them on what they dream about.
I'd have no problem being seen in one, as it means I appreaciate that dream, be it a new supercar, or a classic one, like a Miura or Daytona. In fact, my favorirte classic Ferraris are now worth millions of dollars, and were I rich enough to afford them, then I'd own them.
I like supercars when the owners put them on the track so they can actually perform like a super car. Other wise they are just "hey look at me" cars.
I know quite a few guys with ultra high performance cars and their biggest display of performance is when they do a burnout leaving a car show. What a waste.
What’s to say about super cars they’re ugly, fickle, and extremely expensive to service and bought by posers.
A real practical super car can be found in a Porsche GT3, Corvette, etc.
I have a 2007 Z06. I daily drive it.
I drive it in the rain, I drive it in the winter (kansas not florida lol), I drive it when it hasn't been washed in a few months, basically I treat the damned thing like I would a REAL car. I do not track it or mod it.
I got it new, and cheap, and yeah....it's not a $1million super car but it is one freaking beast of a ride with the curb appeal that gets gawks and shout-outs, especially from younger people that are not indoctrinated and just judge it on aesthetics.
Now the interior is no supercar but then again, mine only cost 61k.
