This is interesting. I just read the entire thread for the first time and kept thinking maybe a Ford Focus would be a good fit. I don't know a lot about them, though I did look at one recently while wandering on a lot. I hope it works out well for ya, Wankel! It's a pretty nice looking car.
Yeah, the car does suit me really well. Although, it is an economy car and the build quality isn't exactly like a Lexus. But as long as you go into the car realizing that it works very well
For some reason I like wagons because of the utility. And I hardly ever need the off road utility of an SUV. Nor do I need the gas mileage of one I sold my 95 GMC Jimmy for this car.
However, the wagon I really want is a VW Jetta or Passat wagon the diesel. I would love 40mpg +. Anyways, the resale on those cars are so high it just is not worth it.
on the focus if your radio goes nuts and turns on and off at no end, don't worry it's a very simple fix that took me a few weeks to figure out. All you do is put a CD in.
I was in the market for an AWD hatchback/small wagon. One of my requirements was 30+ mpg - I'd settle for mid-high 20s around town. The answer is: doesn't really exist. Apparently the weight of the AWD systems really knocks into the gas mileage.
I guess I'll keep my Mini Cooper S for now, even though it's in the side yard, under a heap of snow....
