Years ago. Me and the girl I was seeing at the time went down to this bar, a huge place with pool tables, pinball machines and a huge dance area. Lots of my friends there. Well, the way things happened. I would up hooking up with another girl outside for a while. Well come closing time. Me and the girl that rode down there with me are going home. She had found out what I had done. I think going into a place. A girls radar can pick up the girls you use to date. Its one of their powers. That 10 mile ride home was the longest of my life.

Limon, CO to Dayton, OH on I-70. The drive across KS was BORING (luckily, I had SiriusXM for 80s music to sing along with).

Pecos, TX to Meridian, MS on I-20 is a close second. First time I ever saw a red sun rising was in west TX.

.
Serves you right fo taking the Interstate. US-36 and US-24 have a nice town every half hour, or pull off wherever you like in between. Open the windows and hear the meadowlarks.

I-95 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the I-40 interchange near Benson, North Carolina. About 800 miles between them.

On a single freeway? For me it was about 2,300 miles on I-10, from Tallahassee FL to LA. I-10 starts in Jacksonville but I didn't pick it up until Tallahassee.

A single freeway in a single US state? Just under 900 miles on that same drive, I-10 in Texas.

This was in April 1983 in the days of the double nickel. Way too slow. One of the longest days in my life was crossing Texas on I-10 at 55 MPH (okay, I did 65-70 but still...)

https://is.gd/tfkivv < gMap, 889 miles, I-10 across TX, from 30.127512, -93.701481 to 32.000709, -106.582613

From CT on I-95 to NYC and on I-80 from NYC to SF Bay Area - towing a trailer with a sports car on it - about 3000 miles.
