Why? Every day I drive I get stuck behind someone driving in the left lane? I can't even go 70MPH with all the left lane hogs. Then when I speed into the right lane, a semi-truck is driving 50MPH. The limit is 55MPH. The LLHs drive 60-65 and don't even mive over. Why?
Because they're going up to 10 miles OVER the limit (there is one in the left lane, you know) and don't feel the need to speed even faster just because you want to? Or to pull over behind that truck that you're complaining about and slow down so that you can speed?
As those who want to speed keep saying to justify their own behavior, go with the flow of traffic, which is clearly, in your area, 60-65.

LLH aren't the representation of the flow of traffic.
I've asked that question before, and I guess I just got my answer. The question being: Since there are those who justify their speeding on the "everybody does it" theory, and say that they are just going with the flow of traffic and that is what everyone should do, would they not whine but would just go with the flow of traffic if that flow is slower than they wish to drive (or even, horrors, the speed limit).
The the so-called LLH's are going faster than the right lane (as is evidenced by the OP's statement regarding the truck going significantly slower than the left lane) and passing said traffic, then they are, by definition, the flow of traffic.
Guess my point has been made for me - the flow of traffic has nothing to do with it and IS just an excuse.
I hang in the left lane frequently because the people in the right lane can't manage their own speed. I have little tolerance for a continuing 10 MPH variance. If someone rolls up on me in the left lane I'll be sure to get out of the way, but that seldom happens.

You can't use one semi truck being passed as proof that they are going the with the flow of traffic. They could very well not be hence they need to move over. If they pass these imbeciles on the right then you would get mad.
Another thing is they can't keep constant speed. They drive 60-65 then tap on the brakes to 50-55. Also, when I pass them they drive up to 80MPH and pass me again then slow down.

You know what's even worse? Moving roadblocks-- when somebody in the left lane is going the EXACT same speed as the person in the right lane.
This happened to me earlier this month on the New Jersey Turnpike-- both cars were going 60MPH when the limit is 65 and the highway was designed for 75+. This occurred for about ten (!) miles until the person in the right lane realized what was going on-- she sped up to about 70MPH, and then we all had to weave around the LLH who was still clueless.
