I am developing a new product snow removing heavy snow on the roof of car made easy. For a passenger car, it takes just one minute removing a foot or two of snow. For a big truck, it takes five to ten minutes.
Truck drivers should go up on the roof and shovel. It is extremely dangerous because the surface is very slippery. The height of big truck is over 12 feet. There's is gotta be a better way!
The retail price for a passenger car is $19.99 and for a big truck is $79.99. Will the customers like them?
Think its already out there. Never takes me more than 90 seconds to empty my car roof of snow whether 2 inches or 2 feet. Never seen a trucker struggle either since the advent of extendable handles.
A few times I have actually taken my mediocre quality car cover and placed it on my vehicle the night before a "small" snowstorm (< 5 inches and with no forecast of freezing/re-freezing rain that would cause it to stick to the car).
I get up the next morning, roll the cover off in about 30 seconds and am done!
I have something that'll "sweep" the snow off my truck in less then a minute. It's called a broom or a brush! And I can double it's use to clean floors or wash my truck as well! And they sell them in multiple sizes and softness.
Back in the seventies, I came up with an idea for a device to be installed on all vehicles that are in winter climates.
This device would melt snow and ice as one drives the vehicle.
The objective was, no more snow and icy roads to drive on during, and after a snow storm.
I drew up the plans, but never built a prototype.
I never did a thing with this idea, and somewhere out there someone may well come up with a similar model sometime in the future.
Besides being able to clear the roads of snow and ice, this product would definitely lower the insurance on any vehicle equipped with it.
Obviously for it to be successful, it would have to be installed as standard equipment on all vehicles produced, as well as an after market device to install on older vehicles.
One or two vehicles having it would not work.
With every vehicle being equipped with this device, anyone driving would be removing snow and ice on the roads.
Any way, I am much to old now to get involved with this.
I should have done more about it when I first came up with the idea way back then.
that is effective, but exuberant users might have minor issues with burning down their cars if they are not careful.

Many of the trucking companies here in Canada have a cross bar, that is trailer height, close to the yard exit. As the truck is ready to leave, the driver slowly drives under the cross bar, which clears the snow off the roof of the trailer. Simple, and it works. The cross bar is on a flexible mounting, with a rubber bottom plate.
Put it on at night and remove it in the morning (1-minute snow removal) !!!
