Sorry but none because to me, they about the same level... and I actually own an Acura. To be honest, if the Accord came in an AWD package, I would probably be driving an Accord right now.
Perhaps in the 90's I would have said Volvo but back then, they had a reputation for safety. You don't hear much about Volvo safety these days.

That's a good answer too. I was just curious what others thought because Acura is a luxurious Honda, whereas VW is a stripped down Audi. And Volvo is one of those weird European brands that don't quite match up to BMW/Mercedes, but is much nicer than a Honda or Ford.
I have looked at the the Acura because the Honda CR-V doesn't come with a V6. I owned a Volvo and it was a money pit and unreliable. VW has never impressed me and after reading the consensus of VW here on CD, I will not touch one. Same thing with Audi (not mentioned in the list)
Volvo and Acura are equal, premium sedans/wagons/SUVs that among sedans compete with the Mercedes E-Class and below. Without a super luxury sedan, the RLX and S80 are not true flagships, the brands offer premium-level prestige, not luxury tier prestige.
VW is a German Honda or Toyota, the Passat is an alternative to a Camry or Accord, albeit not as reliable over the long-term.
