Tsk, tsk tsk such language from a "girl". I'm simply pointing out your implication that girls are all automatically airheads and fashion queens that can't be bothered with silly, icky little things like reliability and functionality is ridiculous. "Girls" can be truck drivers, mechanics, moms with a bunch of kids that do care about those things. And if looks are important you're going to look mighty silly sitting on the side of the road in your pretty little Fiat waiting for a tow truck.
I think so, but I'm not absolutely sure. I just saw it pop up on Gizmag once. They want to style the 2 so that it looks more like the 3. It still has too many doors for me, though.

Um, I certainly did not imply that my entire gender are irrational airheads. My car being cute is important to me. It's fine if it is not important to you. There is no need for you to read a thread called "Help Me Pick The Cutest Hatchback" if you find it silly, and there is certainly no need for you to insult me. Just read some other thread you find worthy of your time.
I have to say that I think that the entire automotive industry has ignored that "practical + aesthetically pleasing + economical" segment for far too long. Okay, I realize sure, I want a practical car under $22k, and that's considered an economy car, and perhaps they want people to look at those cars and say "that's too ugly!" and then spend three times as much. In some parts of the country, $22k is still a down payment on a house or 1 year of college tuition. Just because I want an economical, practical car, do automotive designers really have to punish me for it? At the low end, is it some kind of contest to see who can produce the ugliest car?
I think, for a $20,000 investment, it is not too much to ask for auto manufacturers to produce something that doesn't make you want to cry every time you look at it in the driveway.
Sure, reliability and functionality are important to me. But a vehicle is a 2-3000 lb sculpture that is sitting in front of your house you have to look at everyday.
Looks are an important consideration. And if the look of the car makes you happy - so much the better.
