I'm considering getting a car - used is preferred since I don't really need to absorb the first year depreciation. I have a hard limit of $30k. I'd prefer a luxury car, but reliability is as high or higher on my list than luxury qualities are since I won't actually be driving all that miles.
Cars I like: Audi A3, Mercedes GLK, BMW 3-series, Infiniti G-class, Mazda 3.
Would prefer 4-5 doors and carry room.
When it comes down to it, my priorities are probably in this order:
1) reliability
2) practicality
3) all-wheel drive
4) luxury features
5) price (as long as it's under 30k)
Minor consideration:
I'm over 40, but mostly act younger
Not important:
Brand. I know I've listed brand names, but they really don't matter that much. That said, I'm pretty sensitive to build quality - I love driving Mazda cars, they're almost as much fun to drive as Audi models, but the build quality just feels more finished in an Audi. I listed BMW, because on paper they seem to come up a lot, but honestly I'm not that much of a fan.
Anyone have strong feelings about what vehicles I should be considering.
If this means what I think it means..... then it's entirely up to you what to buy.
I can only recommend RX350 or RX450H in that price range. Used of course, but they can still be found under warranty.
Toyota 4Runner Limited. Should meet every one of your requirements.
