I checked on my baby-car. It's getting a secondary air thingy - whatever that is. I had been ready to call time of death when the dealer wanted $5K in repairs. My Dad is doing a labor of love, I think, because it's a ***** to work on.

I remember a couple years ago when it just needed spark plugs he wanted to set it on fire it made him so mad.

I feel bad but once he found out it's the one I prefer he won't let go of it. I hate my other car. My mother liked floaty-boaty cars and I have always hated that but after driving a Beemer? ugh. I appreciate the car. ALOT. It gets me around. But I miss my baby-car!

I don't that is fair to the innocent consumers out there. They are just going along for the ride, they don't make these cars and trucks, they purchase what the industry puts out. The mini like almost everything on the road today, have evolved with the times if they want to still sell cars. Time changes and so does people.
Is it realistic to think the mini in it's original form would still be around today. And this is America, big country for all things big. And so what if suv drivers don't go off road, they purchase these cars they can do what they want with them. The purpose of suv have changed along with the times as well.

I consider BMW cars to be "the ultimate advertising machine" but not the Ultimate Driving machines. Corvettes have always had that distinction.
