That's nothing compared to what you see in other extremely dense cities. Check out this footage from Vietnam and Thailand respectively:








Even in some not-so-dense areas people have to deal with much bigger and louder trains rolling right down their street:

I don't think I want ANY of the special sauce coming from the bottom of that second train onto the food.

As for the one under the apartments... I think the Chinese just wanted to prove they could do what Disney did.

Advanced? You know trains are 16/17th century technology, they're pretty much the opposite of advanced.
