Most cars are to low to the ground for AWD to work effectively.

Um...what? A Camry has more ground clearance than a Soul. And there have been plenty of low AWD cars.

Baffling nonsense. Ground clearance has almost nothing to do with how well AWD does or does not work.

You seem to be confusing AWD with all-terrain 4WD.
