Poor pickup truck boys threatened by seeing vehicles not spewing fumes. It's common to be threatened by things you don't understand.

We have all sorts of idiots across the country. Often driving big trucks. I would have asked the Sheetz station manager to ask them to move. If the driver felt threatened I would have called the police.

Other drivers generally treat my hybrid very differently than my pickup truck - almost as if its very existence is threatening to them.

I won't have that problem when I get my ELR.
No one will know what it is!

Did they even graduate high school? I mean Tesla is an AMERICAN company, "'Murica" in their lexicon, so why protest an American company? It boggles the mind, and I'm not a Tesla fanboi by any stretch, but they serve a purpose, just as their trucks do. The protest is a fail of epic proportions.

The Tesla owner did the proper thing in contacting the Sheetz employees, but when the truck drivers did not move, the employee should have escalated to the police department to have them removed for trespassing because they were asked to leave. Waiting ten minutes and threatening another customer is harassment, and should not be tolerated.

I would have thought this some kind of minor aberration - you can always find one instance of any stupid situation you care to imagine - were it not for the furious squabbling and squawling of the pickup crowd in thread after thread here. I throw out the occasional snarky joke about how the future must be all F-150s, etc., but only because there's a significant, vocal, angry faction here who doesn't see that as a joke.

No, the idea that Americans are abandoning all other vehicle types and buying nothing but pickups, especially the holy F-150, and that that's all god's-in-his-heaven the way it should be seems to drive a lot of fairly nutball thinking in threads here... especially when EVs come up. Then it become the kneejerk reactive "by god you'll pry my pickup from my cold dead hands and make me drive a Tesla when hell freezes over."

Threatened much up there, boyz?

North Carolina

The author needs to go back to school for a good writing class. Or hire a proofreader.

OMG! Bad enough to be butts and block the charging station, but what's worse is it appears Ford and Chevy boys teaming up. Such an unholy alliance!
