I had a poster of that car on my wall. It was like a car person's car as no one else knew what it was.
I believe it was also in that Connery/Snipe movie "Rising Sun" if I recall correctly.

That was/is a great review. The most memorable thing is that for a space age car like it was - the key to it was your generic square GM key.
I can't remember which I wanted more, a 1988 Mustang 5.0 or a Mitsubishi 300GT. I'm leaning towards the 3000GT. I did own two Eclipses. An RS, which was all I could afford on my 1999 Army salary, and a used 1995 GSX that I bought and ran into the ground not long after I got out.
You guys are a lot fancier than I was when I was a kid. My pick is a big red firetruck. Oh wait, change that to a dump truck. No, I changed my mind again. I really want an Oscar Meyer Weinermobile! Yeah, let's go with that!
Excellent choice! I remember seeing those Oscar Mayer weiner mobiles in Southern California in the early sixties. I haven't thought about that in years or decades at least.
I want an old pickup truck with no fancy GPS or computer this computer that. I just want an old clunker with a refurbished engine. I live out in the country driving on dirt road with one of those babies would be cool.
My now 18-year-old daughter is getting a minivan! Haha. She used to beg me to get one when she was little (she saw the TVs in them which is why she wanted me to have one).
I wanted Herby the Love Bug. I'd still take it. I also used to like a book my dad had full of concept cars. I really don't remember what any of them were called though.
British Leyland MG Midget. Don't know if they make it anymore or if that's a PC name in our current culture, so perhaps it's called something else.
Saw it in some giant, glossy magazine of lofty taste, one I wouldn't normally come across. But, the ad had 2 happy looking, young people in love & at 13, I thought if I grew up to have a bf with the car or buy one of my own, I'd get the relationship, too.
Ah, yeah, thus far... nope to both.
I'd still like that cool little car.
