Someone like to show up with $3k a buy a beater. $14k you are generally talking financing and money the average guy cant yank out to go buy a car. For that, they go to a dealer and get one financed, just simpler. Carmax will offer substantially less, but it may be worth it if you need to get rid of it. What traderjack said is your best option.
Alot of people are holding on to what they have having learned from the 70's. They don't want to take on more debit. Debit is a big iissue now. Also depends on what the economy is like in your area.Its not the car is my guess.Also the 2005 and newer V6's had more problems than earlier model camrys.
