I read one of the report mags on used cars, and caddy was inthe top 3.I had a Towncar and a MarkVII years ago.Great cars but had issues. Now I would consider a caddy for sure.I would even ride in a Lincoln.Unless its a Hot Rod Lincoln."Son your going to drive me to drinking if you don't stop driving that HOT ROD LINCOLN"

My father has a transportation company that has always used Ford as the main fleet vehicle... from trucks to towncars. Our towncars last a very long time, are very comfortable, responsive and spacious. I have no complaints with Lincoln at all. They make and OUTSTANDING fleet vehicle.

As for myself... I am a Cadillac enthusiast. I have a resto'ed '68 DeVille and a cream puff '95 Fleetwood Brougham. I have worked on several Cadillac resto projects and I am simply in love with them!!! After riding around in my friend's father's new CTS (not V) I am quite set on buying one when I can afford it!!! And yes as others have mentioned Cadillac competes on a broad range of automotive application... and they make a superior product.

ROFL... I'm watching Motorweek's review of the Lincoln MKS... and they just described the handling as providing "random moments of nimbleness." Not exactly high praise

I have to vote for Cadillac as the Northstar Allentes, the STS/CTS, and particularly that new CT-V with 6-speed actually appeal to me, for the most part recent Lincolns seem to be pure grampa-mobiles (although the current Lincoln Town Car is amazingly competent in a cop-car sort of way - but damn it sways and wallows a lot if pushed)

Oddly enough the pre-war Lincoln was a much more prestigious car, the old V-16s - although the V-16 Caddys were no slouch either.

But at the end of the day, I'm more into MG-Bs, Sciroccos, and E30-M3s. Cars that are more Bruce Lee than Hulk Hogan.

But if GM mailed me a sufficiently sweet coupon good for a big discount on a CT-V, with 6-speed, I would definitely at least test-drive one...

My last car - Cadillac Seville STS with Northstar motor and I loved it! The only problems I had were repairs - it's like buying the car over again. I now have a Lincoln LS and I like it but it's doesn't the Northstar speed or agility.

What do you think?
I think Cadillac's look much better than anything that Lincoln makes. Lincoln seems to only make cars for the older generation.

Maybe the older generation knows a good thing when they see it? (Lincoln Town Car & Mercury Grand Marquis.)
A well-proven design (rear wheel drive and body-on-frame construction).
