Bascailly this is just a disgusted bill to put people in lower HP engines by teh environemtnalist. If they could they would have us all drive samrt coffins. Luckily its just a bill and few actauly get to the floor. You would be surprised at the idot bills that congessamn actually propose.I would bet its a democrat and they often put exceptions in such bills allowing people to have them but put a high price for purchasing a esception. They will do anyhting for more money it seems.

Nobody "needs" high performance vehicles, but many people want them and will pay big money for them. High performance vehicles are where most of the profits come from for automakers.

As they say on some car commercial, blame the carpenter, not the tool. Increase the penalties for street racing, but don't take away the ability to own performance cars for those of us who are responsible. Thankfully, even though this is a hoax, it would never see the light of day in the first place...there is too much money to be made off the performance segment.
