Tennesseestorm... you, my friend, have owned some serious land yachts!
lol.... tell me about it. No telling how much I have spent in gasoline... the Mercedes and the Lexus get really good MPGs though... around 20 mpg in town and the Lexus is a V8. The Mercedes is an inline 6-cylinder. That yellow 1984 Mercedes 190D diesel I had got 32 mpg in town and 43 mpg on the freeway!
MaryBeth, my dad has that same year Camaro, same Le Mans blue paint....but his has the black stripe down the side and his is a SS model that came factory with a 396, a 4 speed manual and a 12 bolt rear.
That camero (well not that one in the pic) was my car in school. I loved that car. It had the 327 with the double camel hump heads? If that is right. Mine was auto but at red lights I use to act like it was a standard. ha! Good days, good memories.
I would have loved your dad's!
Ok, these are not pictures of my actual cars. Nothing fancy (at all).
1985 Mazda 626 LX (mine was the same color, and a 5-speed)
My second car was purchased as a graduation present in 1997. It was a 1989 Honda Civic Si (also 5-speed). Mine was also red like this one.
Next was a 1989 Ford Probe LX (5-speed) and a 1992 Ford Probe (5-speed). The one pictured looks like the 1992 -- except mine were red and turquoise respectively (the 1989 had a slightly look...but same body style).
Then I had a 1993 Ford Probe, SE, 4-cyl 5-speed again. The version pictured below looks like a GT. Mine had steel wheels (with hubcaps), no spoiler, and was a light blue color.
My current car is a 2001 Chrysler Sebring LX (V6 however). It is my first automatic car! The version picture here looks like an LXi. Mine is a dark candy apple red color.
I had a Geo Metro, that looked like your Honda up there. Man that thing was good on gas. Maybe I should have kept it! Hummmm
I agree! I drove that Honda from Pittsburgh, PA to Daytona Beach, FL and only stopped for gas once along the way. I spent $50 in gas. True gas was around $1.75/gallon back then...or something crazy like that!
