Trim levels that’s it same engine, transmission, frame, transfer case. All made on the same assembly line most in Arlington Texas along with the Escalade.

It is about giving the dealers more different vehicles to sell. Before Bentley was sold off, it was part of Rolls Royce and largely the same. In Canada they sold Mercury pickup trucks and DeSotos that were really Plymouths with a DeSoto grille.
Neither was sold in the US.

The little Metropolitan was sold in the US as either a Nash or a Hudson, but in the UK it was an Austin.
