I have offered free advice via a DM to someone looking for info re a auto problem. After 28 yrs in a specialty field am considered an expert in that field. When in business I commanded good money for that info. These people could have easily verified my info as to it's acuracy but did not have the decency to acknowledge my DM or any results they may have gotten from the info I offered.
How many ask a DR for an opinion and ignore any answer that is given.
I would have to say that whats even worse than lack of vehicle description is that hardly anyone ever reports back to let us know if the problem has been resolved or the question answered. People like to play armchair police and demand others use the 'search' function however 90% of the help-request threads are left open ended.

Agreed. At least come back with the solution so the bank of information can be added to. Besides, it's just plain polite to do so.
