Has anyone considered that some group/country could have taken a black box out to that area, when everybody in the world was looking way further sound, and dropped it in the ocean. I imagine it would sink to the bottom like anything else since apparently they don't float. And really throw everyone off track. Without even one piece of debris being found, all of a sudden we are suppose to believe that this plane is down in the ocean almost fully intact. The lack of any debris is a big problem....I have to bet it's never happened in modern aviation history.
OH! And speaking of the communications system, did anyone see the article that came out about 10 days ago, about how Vietnam radio'd another plane in the area to contact MH370 AFTER they didn't respond to Vietnam, and this other plane was able to contact the pilot? After the pilot responded, the other plane asked a further question, but there was no response. So he reported back to Viet air traffic control (or whoever made the request) that he made contact initially, then lost it.
Yes, I remember hearing about that. The pilot heard a mumbled response and then (what?) lost the connection, but he didn't really think anything of it at the time.

What's important about this is that it means the communications systems didn't go down due to a fire or other emergency. They were on, and the pilot must have turned them off at some point, probably after he made the turn back toward the west.

It would require a lot of planning by a TBD third party. Basically foreseeing that evtl the route south would have been discovered and traced by the INMARSAT signals. So an actual jet would have to be flown the route that the Black Boxes would be discovered. Plus outsmarting any other secret military satellite technology for the actual hijacking and real location of the MH370.
But the possibility that one of the pilots would have been able to uninstall both black boxes ( one in cockpit, one in the tail section) during flight and dump them hours before crashing should be considered. The planning of the hijacker was meticulous and successful so far. Question would be if it is possible to remove the Black Boxes and dump them during flight? Somehow I think that they are installed to be out of reach for anybody inside the plane.
Only purpose would be to make the actual plane location even more difficult to find. A steep impact angle to avoid debris would have been his last action, killed the pilot instantaneously but cause little floating debris.

Why would someone want the plane to not be found? More important, who?

It has been more than a month. It does not surprise me that nothing has been found. Currents, wind, things get water-logged and sink.

Why would a hijacker have to avoid being detected by a military satellite or even air defenses. What could anyone possible do about it? The plane is in the air, it isn't like you can pull them over or force them to land. There isn't a way to force something like the 777 to land without creating conditions far more hazardous than allowing it to fly so long as it isn't enroute to fly into buildings or something like that.
Once that plane was airborne, nothing was going to stop what happened.

Absolutely impossible. Both recorders are in the tail. I doubt most pilots would even know where in the tail they're located.
Not to derail this long and good thread....but it is hard to have confidence in most things we hear when flight 800 was clearly a missile hit but no one will even discuss that in the NTSB FAA or FBI...save the original investigators who have argued for the matter to be reopened. So much about this flight is hidden from us as well. To bad really. Truth is easier to take actually than all the f'n bs.....
To most people NOT in aviation, they think TWA 800 was shot down. A lot of people in aviation, especially those of us who deal with aircraft wiring issues on a daily basis have absolutely no problems with the results of the investigation.
