I was wondering how long the obsessive would wait.
I wonder why, on 12 August the same wasn't reported. I was at DFW, from Pensacola and connecting to go home, and noticed that an American 737 had a badly damaged winglet being towed to the MX hangar. I called a friend from my USAF days, and asked if he knew. "Dude, I fly for United" he said. Oops, sorry. Called an American guy, voicemail. He called back, didn't know of it, but said it happens too many times worldwide. I guess unless there are YouTube posters on board, it's a non-event.
I find it rather interesting and honestly sad, that despite the overwhelming evidence that Southwest is a poorly managed airline with an unacceptable spike in safety infractions, somehow certain people continue to defend Southwest as if it were some kind of incredible airline..

I find it rather interesting, but not even remotely surprising, that certain people speak nebulously of 'overwhelming evidence' but, in fact, offer not a shred of evidence at all to back up their grand assertions. Particularly useful would be comparative evidence, to demonstrate that this raging fixation on Southwest Airlines actually parallels a safety deficiency with that airline not found in other U.S. airlines. Of course, no such comparative evidence is ever forthcoming.
Take JACDEC, for example - just because it was the first one I turned up with a quick search. Of 60 airlines, Southwest comes in 24, which is middle of the road but closer to the top than the bottom. More notably, it ranks 2nd of the 7 U.S. airlines among those 60. This is an actual example of evidence. Airline Safety Ranking 2015 » JACDEC
So feel free to post this 'overwhelming evidence' of which you speak. Or, you know... any evidence at all.

LOL... Yeah, but they made a scantily clad young lady cover up before letting her on an airplane a few years ago!
If that were your daughter I doubt you would be so gay about her being escorted off an airplane made late for a doctor's appointment all for being beautiful. Of course I don't know you so perhaps you would be fine with it.

Your cited report shows that Lufthansa owner of German Wings moved up in the rankings. I think I would place my trust in something else if I were you unless you are not smart enough to see that it's a bad thing.
