If my daughter showed up for a flight dressed like she just finished working 8th ave, and she was asked to cover up, I'd be fine with it. I'm not worried about that happening, since she was raised better than that.

The lady you keep referencing was asked to cover up her lady parts, and was allowed to continue to travel after doing so. It wasn't for "being beautiful", it was for being inappropriately dressed for the occasion.

8th avenue. That's funny.

I guess you never flew with a talented lovely woman either in the air...or on the ground.

Either way, the Iranian fashion police live on Southwest. Who knew a Texas town would spawn it.

Herb Kelleher retired years ago and Gary Kelly has been running the show for quite some time. Therein lies your answers.

I am not getting what people are saying about Southwest. Their record in the air seems very good. They have been listed as one of the safest airlines in the Nation for many years now.

All airlines have degraded somewhat over the past 30 years due to growth and focus on profit before service. As consumers it's become very easy to price shop and we are guilty of having little brand loyalty with airlines. I for one will continue to fly SWA as I have for several decades. Ya'll haters can fly Delta or United and see how well you like tiny little RJ's with beginning pilots that make so little they can get food stamps!

My current SWA gripe is that they no longer send the email "your flight is around the corner' the day before flight. I have lost 3 reservations since they now trash / don't credit your 'no-shows'. I usually have 7-10 flights booked and forget to cancel. I certainly understand their point, (need to make seats available) BUT I appreciated their reminders.

BTW: the new web page is a Killer on dial-up (too many graphics).. Web developers must think we all live in Asia and have free High Speed internet at every location (home / work / bus / subway / airport / camping...)

I like SWA but they are making my life harder, rather than improving it.

Be my guest.
You should start taking the train from now on.

Everything you've complained about on this thread happens to ALL airlines. You obviously have an ax to grind with SW for some reason. What did they do to you?

I was alarmed and offended when they started to kick paying passengers off their planes for the way they dressed. Their conduct in my view was far more unbecoming than anything a paying passenger ever did.

I had a lot of good flights with SWA. Now....they are on my **** list along with some other companies that think that they can do whatever they want to a public person.

I have also found that the incidents since that time (poor maintenance) have increased. I don't trade with companies who feel they can do whatever they want to a paying customer who is just showing up.

It's America now. Every body line up.

Can you share some examples of people that were kicked off because of what they wore. What was it that they were wearing that SWA did not like?
